As you know the Primary Health Care Strategy is all about working together to improve health for all people. Nelson Bays Primary Health values the work done by so many of you over the past year.  We hope you can all make the most of the upcoming summer break to  re-energise for next year, which will no doubt bring exciting challenges to our sector.

Mend is back in 2010!
Free fun programme for kids to become fitter, healthier and happier

Our first MEND programme finished mid December and the results and feedback received have been very positive.

Breastscreen Aotearoa
Friday 5 March 2010 until Friday 12 March 2010

The mobile screening unit will visit Te Awhina marae from Friday 5 March 2010 until Friday 12 March 2010. They will be screening on Saturday 6 March. If you know any women who would like to have their breast screen at Te Awhina please encourage them to contact their general practice so they can enrol them for this visit. If they had a screen 2 years ago at Te Awhina they will be contacted by Breastscreen Aotearoa.

Nelson Bays Primary Health is keen to hear from practices that may require assistance with transport for women to attend screening at Te Awhina; NBPH will look towards coordinating free transport to the venue

Green Prescription have arrived!
Green Prescription have arrived and they have given all of us the Christmas Huff and Puff Challenge.

We are thrilled to have the GRx team all moved in to the Nelson Bays Primary Health offices at 20 New St, Nelson.    We are really keen to keep people moving over these summer months so we encourage you to keep your referrals coming in.  Please fax them to 539 4958 and GRX will respond.
