Nelson Bays Primary
Health (PHO) News - May
1st 2008
Welcome to
another edition of Nelson Bays Primary Health’s
fortnightly newsletter.
Yesterday, Wednesday 30th
April, was Administrative Professional's
Day. We would like to acknowledge all the
hard work that our own administrative team does,
thankyou Ann and Tessa, but also to say thanks
right across the primary health sector to all those
wonderful people who keep the cogs turning. You are
really appreciated!
PHO
News:
- The
Performance Management
Programme:
The PHO Performance Management
Programme (PMP) is a voluntary programme that has been
designed by primary care representatives, DHBs and the
Ministry of Health to improve the health of enrolled
populations and reduce
inequalities.
For more information about the PMP
programme please visit the website: http://www.bewell.org.nz/noticeboard/pho-news
- Capitation Enrollment and
Registration Processes:
The Ministry
of Health has recently updated information
relating to PHO patient enrollment
processes.
The Ministry's
primary requirement of any practice is to achieve and
provide accurate data for their enrolled as well as
casual patients. As the calculation of capitation
funding is derived from the data captured at source by
the practice, it is imperative that processes and
systems are in place to maximise the completeness and
accuracy of the data associated with the
individual.
You can find a
really good overview of the enrollment process as well
as enrollment forms on the following site: http://www.moh.govt.nz/moh.nsf/indexmh/phcs-payments-clientenrol
